this year honoring             Caren & Dr. Harry Lever

Sunday, June 16 at 6:00 pm
    Cocktails & Dinner •           Auction & Raffle • $80/person

Caren & Harry Lever both grew up at Congregation Beth Shalom in Pittsburgh, though they did not know each other. They grew up in kosher homes, were active in synagogue and were ardent Zionists. They learned from their parents the importance of advocacy and of caring for others. These values have guided them throughout their lives.
Harry is one of the preeminent cardiologists at the Cleveland Clinic, where he has become renowned for his work in the area of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He is also an activist who has drawn attention to issues of drug safety. Caren is a special-education teacher in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School System. The two see their life work as an expression of the value of tikkun olam. Please join us as we honor this wonderful couple. RSVP by Monday, June 3.

    A Thank You & L’hitraot Dessert Reception

honoring Rabbi Rona Shapiro & her family,     David Franklin, Noa and Hallel Shapiro-Franklin.

Rabbi Shapiro has touched so many with her light. The time has come to bid her and her family adieu. We are comforted by the true meaning of l’hitraot - until we meet again.

    Thursday evening, May 30 • 7 – 9 pm •     B’nai Jeshurun Congregation

    RSVPs encouraged to the Synagogue.

Please take a few moments to write down your thoughts and email them by Sunday, May 12 so we can create a tribute book for her. As we send her off, the most meaningful gift we can give her is the knowledge that she has made a difference in our lives.
