An Historical Introduction to the Laws of Purim with Rabbi Noah Bickart

We will trace the ways the laws of Purim have developed from the text of the Megillah (The Biblical Book of Esther) through Modern Codes. We will study together the way that the performance of these commandments translates the values of the holiday into the living reality of the Jewish (and broader) community. Zoom, Meeting ID: 883 1161 5204.


Purim Art Studio with Marjorie Falk

Want to tap into your creative mode? Marjorie Falk will teach us about art and artists from various cultures that have used disguise and beautification to create. We will be guided in making our own Purim art project. No experience necessary. A material list will be provided for you to create from home.

ATID Masquerade
Shabbat Dinner

Calling all 20s & 30s:  You're invited to join ATID for a masquerade Shabbat dinner. Everyone attending will receive a free dinner (catered by Kantina) & a mask that can be picked up at B'nai Jeshurun on Thursday from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. Then join us on Zoom as we celebrate Shabbat and get ready for Purim. You are guaranteed to have a fun night with games & mixers, meeting new people, and seeing who’s behind the mask at our Masquerade Shabbat! Hamentashen Baking

Purim is almost here! Join us for a fun morning of filling, baking and decorating delicious unique Hamentashen! Learn tips and tricks as we bake along with Meghann Hennen. Meghann is local baker and preschool teacher. Her business, Challah @ Meg specializes in flavored and filled challah. No-charge for B'nai Jeshurun members; $8 for non-members. We are excited to virtually bring in the award-winning WonderSpark Puppets of NYC for this special morning. We will watch a performance of Esther Saves the Day! and then everyone will have the chance to try out their puppet making skills in a workshop led by one of the puppeteers. Register online.

Purim Race

Grab your phones and hop off of Zoom because we are taking part in a digital scavenger hunt. Once we say "go!”,your team will be on their own completing missions around your home and Cleveland. Your goal will be to complete as many missions as you can as you compete against other BJC teams throughout the afternoon.

• You must have access to a mobile device (not a computer) with wireless access. This can be a phone or tablet and you will need to download the GooseChase app.
• We will kick-off the race together on Zoom at 12:45 pm (link will be provided when you register). During this time you will learn how the game works and we’ll answer any questions you have


PURIM FINALE 2021!

Join together as we recap Purim 2021 with a Purim video created by Chad Cohen. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes to the loudest gragger we heard and so much more.
